Such type of compounds is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and bases. Nitrogen Oxides, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide are hazardous decomposition products related to this compound. Precautions should be maintained while handling the chemical product which requires it to be avoided from direct contact with skin, eyes and clothing. During the handling of this chemical a proper ventilation maintenance is a basic requirement

The 5-nitrosalicylic acid is produced by using the combinational process of nitration and hydrolysis of o-chlorobenzoic acid. The nitration process yields the intermediate 2-Chloro-5-nitrobenzoic acid. The generation of nitration is 95.7% and that of hydrolysis is 98.3%. The final product which generates is 99.8% after proper recrystallization by ethanol solution. The solubility of this chemical is dependent on the concentration of nitric acid.

5-nitrosalicylic acid is an organic phenolic compound which is extensively utilized in forming slyvite, sodium salts and organic drug synthesis which act as intermediates. The chemical is checked and analyzed as per the International standard specifications which meet the customer requirements.
